General:
Hadex is an approved, safe, effective and easy to use disinfectant
specifically intended for disinfecting drinking water/water tanks and cleaning
the water tanks and pipe systems of your boat/yacht/camper. Hadex prevents contamination and keeps
the water in good condition.
Why use Hadex:
Bacteria, algae and other micro-organisms can develop quickly in water.
Water is therefore subject to spoilage as food. Hadex prevents germ growth and slime formation
and keeps the water in good condition of your water tank in a boat/yacht/yacht or water tank in
a camper/trailer/caravan.
Water quality:
The amount of Hadex to be added depends on the quality of the water.
We therefore recommend regularly testing the quality of the drinking water with a Hadex
test kit.
Hadex is approved in the Netherlands by the Ministry of Health under approval number: 9574N.
The Shipping Inspectorate has fully accepted Hadex.
Also ideal for backpackers.
Dosage:
Start of the recreational season or if you are starting for the first time with this addition
of disinfectant for the water in your water tank with 10 ml per 25 litres of water.
With this first shock treatment you combat contamination in your water tanks and pipes
of your boat/yacht/caravan/camper.
Leave to work for at least 24 hours and then rinse the entire system.
Dosage during the season 2-10ml per 50 litres of water depending on the water quality.
At each new tank filling (filling your water tank) you add a quantity,
depending on the size of your tank. After 30 minutes the water is purified and ready for
safe use. If the drinking water is in the tank for a longer period (than 2 weeks), you should
regularly add this dosage to the water.

Normal dosage:
1 litre to 50 m³ drinking water (1: 50,000) (=20 ml. Hadex per 1 m³ water).
This low dosage is used as a regular addition and reduces and prevents germ growth and algae and slime formation. (Dosage complies with N.S.I. drinking water regulations)
Action time 30 minutes.
1 ltr. per 25 m³ drinking water (1: 25,000) (=40 ml. Hadex per 1 m³ water).
This dosage is used if the drinking water is suspected of being of poorer quality and/or contains floating particles that can strongly promote the growth of bacteria.
Action time 30 minutes.
High dosage (shock treatment):
1 ltr. per 5 m³ (1: 5000) (200 ml. Hadex per 1 m³ water).
The high dosage is used for treating drinking water under epidemic conditions, i.e. if the water is bacteriologically contaminated or suspected
Action time 30 minutes.
