Spin-on replacement cartridge filter elements are compatible with
Racor’s range of Spin-on water separator fuel filter systems.
The elements demonstrate exceptional efficiency in the removal of both bulk and emulsified water,
low fuel flow restriction and high dirt holding capacity. Their unique design allows them to perform well in modern diesel and petrol engine applications,
where high pressure conditions can cause small
particles of dirt and water to score and wear out precision parts, resulting in engine damage and increased downtime.
The filter housing is protected with a durable,
electrostatically applied coating for superior rust protection.
The spin-on filter design is easy to repair and features a
reusable, clear plastic or metal contaminant collection bowl with a self-venting drain to drain collected
contaminants and water.
All spin-on replacement cartridge filter elements utilize
Racor’s highly efficient Aquabloc® media. Aquabloc® is a
blend of high-quality cellulose, formulated with resins and a
special chemical treatment. It features pleat spacing
and an improved pore structure that increases dirt holding capacity
and extends filter life.
The media is watertight and rustproof and traps contaminants while the specially treated surface separates and coalesces water from the
fuel, turning it into large droplets that then fall into the fuel filter collection bowl.
Aquabloc® elements repel water and remove solid contaminants from fuel at an efficiency of
98% of their micron rating. To meet the unique requirements of customers’ engines, three different
micron filter grades are available, including:
30 Micron (98% at 30 Micron):
Ideal as a pre-filter to protect downstream filters from excessive contamination. Extends the life of engine filters.
10 Micron (98% at 10 micron): Captures more contaminants
than 30 micron elements and more effectively blocks water
Extends the life of the entire fuel system.
2 Micron (98% at 4 micron): Provides maximum water removal and filtration and
has the ability to protect all modern injection systems.
Also dramatically increases the life of hard-to-repair engine filters.
Here’s how it works:
Racor’s spin-on filters use Aquabloc® media to reliably remove dirt and water
from diesel and gasoline. The Aquabloc® media is pleated,
corrugated and designed to provide high water repellency and long life.
Fuel entering the filter head is directed down the
vertical media pleats, causing larger water droplets and contaminant particles to fall
directly into the collection tank. Smaller water droplets converge
and coalesce on the specially treated media surface until they are large enough
to also fall into the collection tank. Small contaminants are
retained on the surface of the Aquabloc® media,
while even smaller particles are retained deeper in the layers.
Instructions for Use:
Replacement fuel filter element parts are
specifically designed for a specific series unit and a specific fuel type.
Although replacement parts from different series may look similar on the outside,
the internal structures may vary.
Therefore, do not attempt to use a replacement part from one series on another series type.
A clear reservoir is an inspection item for fuel systems:
Inspect frequently for damage, deformation, and discoloration and and replace as necessary.
