Information about GE SilPruf* SCS2000 silicone adhesive/sealant
SCS2000 is a versatile, ready-to-use one-component silicone sealant with
is widely used in residential sealing, ground covering, adhesive and glazing applications
and commercial watercraft. This product, introduced in 1973, has structural properties
power and is also a candidate for bonding windshields, gates and hatches.
SCS2000 has demonstrated successful long-term durability with a service life of 30 years
expectation in many applications. Formulated using a 100% silicone polymer
(polydimethylsiloxane), SCS2000 is inherently UV resistant and insensitive to
freezing, thawing, salt water, natural weathering and direct sunlight. The healed
rubber does not crack, split or harden over time and remains elastic from -
48°C/-55°F to 149°C/300°F and up to 204°C/400°F at intermittent short-term temperatures
exposure.
SCS2000 can be applied in sub-zero temperatures for winter repair projects
and on surfaces up to 35°C/122°F in summer conditions. Surface instructions
